Recently-orphaned 네코타 is adopted by the family of his mother's friend; it just so happens that they are cat-people! His new little sister 네네코 is super excited to have a brother, and the two get along really well. It's a lovely slice of life story which focuses on the daily life of the family, particularly the sibling relationship, which is adorable. It does touch a little upon 네코타's pain of losing his place in the world after his mother passes, but overall it's a sweet and heartwarming read.
Language-wise, it's fairly easy: everyday vocabulary, common grammar structures, light text density, and nothing that stands out as being troublesome for a learner. If you're just starting out reading 만화, this would be a good choice to get started with, especially if you like cute and comical stories. Highly recommended!
