This is the first manga that I began to read when I was not yet N5 fluent. The language is for adults and very casual, so the machine translators had difficulty with it. A native speaker enjoyed explaining the references to our beginning Japanese study group. It would take us an hour to do each 3 page episode.
I recommend this manga on the way to N4, because the Wani Kani book club Vocabulary list was VERY well done, and the corresponding commentary covered the gaps in knowledge. There is some kanji with furigana. It may be middle school level, because some words are in kana that would be in kanji for adults. Bonus: there have been anime episodes made from this manga that are understandable once you have translated.
