I read this during a stressful time, and it always managed to pull me out of my head and ease my anxiety a little bit. The premise is that the mc, Mahoro, lives in her late grandmother's house with yokai that only she can see. Due to this we see some interesting characters, including a yuki-onna that sleeps in the fridge, a neko-mata that still exhibits cat-like tendencies, a mischievous kitsune, and a childish zashikiriwarashi. I liked learning about different yokai, and since their personalities are all very different sometimes they had funny altercations. I intend to finish the series.
For language learning, there's full furigana, short sentences, simple grammar, and most of the vocab is taught in Genki 1.
