Poorly paced, interesting source material
The book is based on the 고유정 case from a few years ago, so if you know about it, there isn't much to surprise you here. The original case is more jaw dropping because it's real, so if you decide to read this don't look up the case ahead of time.
The pacing was too slow for me, it's definitely a "slow burn," which I'm not really looking for when I read in Korean. Plus, every time something exciting would happen, it would immediately switch to a different time or character. The ending is left me really unsatisfied as well.
For all I've complained about it, I think this might be a book that sticks with me for a long time because it is creepy and shocking and the tone of the book is well done at least.
