A genuine masterpiece (泣)
I watched this in English before even considering learning Japanese. It's... good. I love the realism of how a person's depression and their actions affect their life. Every time I seem to watch it, tears just come out whether I like it or not. It burns deep into the heart's feelings.
Language Learning
For grammar, I think the hardest I could remember was a ずに grammar point (usually not taught to learners at around N4) at some point but I don't remember quite well. Stay safe of it in any case. Keep a grammar dictionary around!
I did something to challenge me in this movie which was disabling subs when I didn't need them. I was looking to improve my speech recognition which actually worked quite well. People don't talk much and 硝子... well, it's okay, you can ignore her for the most part. I recommend challenging yourself if you can do it.
