Despite how this book is advertised, there are more like four short stories than seven here; the four nights from 夢十夜 (author 夏目 漱石) reprinted here are counted as separate short stories all their own. The other three short stories printed are:
These are all fairly difficult stories mostly due to vocab: older kanji usage and/or different pronunciation than you might expect. The running gloss given is pretty comprehensive, though, and the side-by-side English translation, while nothing fancy, gets the job done. I listened to the audio while reading and thought that that enhanced the stories greatly; the narrators they chose did a great job.
