This is a post-apocalyptic slice of life about a girl who likes cooking befriending a giant furry spider covered in vegetation. I can't say I found it particularly interesting, but then again, I don't really enjoy reading about cooking and am averse to spiders! This was a freebie and I went in blind; I probably wouldn't have read it otherwise.
There are scenes where the protagonist makes dishes, describing the process in detail, as well as a section about coffee, so there is quite a bit of vocabulary related to food and drink. Other than that, there wasn't anything particularly difficult language-wise.
