Cute beginner-friendly story
Compared to something like 僕と死神の七日間, the writing is more flowery but the overall vibes are similar. The book is quite accessible to beginners despite the occasional medical jargon, drawing terminology, and 花言葉.
The chapters are very long so I wouldn't recommend pushing yourself to “at least” end the current chapter before taking a break because the end of the chapter is probably further than you think.
The book is also a good source of collocations — it is crazy the amount of things that 走る in Japanese.
Aside from these linguistic considerations, I've found the story charming and touching and the relationships between characters genuine without totally over-the-top characters.
