This series was the first Manga series I tried reading in Japanese on Digital format and in that sense it helped a ton since the language, vocab and grammar are all very easy and made it easier for me to adjust to reading in Japanese and reading in Digital in general. The only exception is that sometimes suddenly there was a spike in difficulty when it came to kanji when using terminologies, but outside that there was an obvious effort to only gradually enter Kanji (I would guess for children educational purposes), to the point that too much hiragana/katakana actually made it difficult to read for the first few volumes.
In terms of plot it's very basic 2000's magical girls with an "animal" twist, so if you like you like, if you don't you don't.
