Horses, Shocking Secrets, and New Friends
This volume wasn't quite as good as the previous one, which may have become my new favorite volume in the series, but it was still a good time. There are horses, good food, enemies turned friends, and friends turned enemies. Plus, there's continued character development for Miabel and Rafina and romance between Rafina and Lin Malong!! Also, Ema is a great new character! I really like her personality and enjoyed the contrast between her life and actions in the current timeline and the previous timeline in the side story at the end. Overall, this was a solid volume and I look forward to the 騎馬王国 arc's conclusion in the next book. 4 stars.
Japanese-wise, this was a very easy read after nine other books in the series. Most of the words I looked up had furigana, so they weren't super common. I've been studying N1 grammar recently and I did see a few points, but nothing that would really mess up understanding by not knowing them since they're pretty intuitive/vocabulary as well (ex: さておき).
