Snagged it because it was free with Prime. I'm used to a certain level of mundane, but the authors describing this as captivating is an outright lie. The first few stories were generally easier and had a twist of sorts that at least gave the impression of being interesting, but the last ones were... just longer slogs. For <= N4 it's great practice, though. Optional translations along with some summaries and simplistic quizzes at the end made for great practice despite my deficient vocab.
