Don't be fooled by the copious furigana and the slice-of-life dialogue, for whatever reason this charming story about a country bumpkin and her next door chef of a neighbour is more difficult than I was expecting! The large amounts of tiny scribbled asides is also a bit of a hassle, but I'm still glad I stuck it through, as it's still one of my favourite stories - and now I get to read it in its original language!
