Prelude to One Piece Gold
Heart of Gold is an interesting adventure the focuses on finding a legendary treasure. The plot and pacing were fairly standard, but the heroine was intended to be grating, and it weighs on the movie. For language learning this film is a mix of easy to tough chunks in short order as you have the villain cast which speaks strangely and a fair amount of odd vocabulary come up. Some parts of the plot and of the action don't make a lot of sense.
I experienced a significant chunk of the first part of the film without even realizing it was in Japanese because I've gotten used to the One Piece combat moves, and it blended in with easier dialogue that it was a pleasant immersion experience. The tail end of the film had tougher vocab and I stumbled a bit, but this is still good for high N3 to learn plenty of useful words off of.
