A Very Simple Romance Story
The story is about an aspiring writer/college student who goes to the same café every day while she works on her writing. She wants to enter a yuri literary competition but she has no real life romance experience. She uses this opportunity to try and get closer to her crush, the café owner.
The book mainly focuses on the college student (かなで), the widowed café owner (みき) and the café owner's child (りあん). About half of the story is かなで bonding with them and basically becoming a second mother to りあん and the other half of the story is lewd moments between かなで and みき.
The bonding moments were cute and they had some heartwarming moments but for the most part there isn't really much depth to the story. The book is about 28k characters long split into 23 chapters so each chapter is incredibly short. Everything that happens in this book progresses really fast and without any conflict.
The writing in this is very simple too. All of the sentences are very short and straight forward. There's no hidden meanings, odd phrasings or weird analogies. While there isn't much furigana in this, they did use a lot more kana for words I am used to seeing in kanji. りあん is a child too so all of her dialogue is in hiragana/katakana but the things she talked about were very easy to understand with no kanji.
Overall, I don't think the book is particularly bad, its just very basic and lacks depth to make me care about the characters. The book was very easy to read though and made for a good confidence booster. If you're just looking for something that is easy to read and like lewd yuri, then you might like this.
