Quick, Cute Read - Good for Newbies to Reading Novels in Korean
This was a short, easy middle grade book about a girl named 비 whose whole life has been posted on Instagram by her mom since the day she was born. The book follows her as she attempts to lose followers and quit Instagram, only to gain more followers instead.
Since it's a middle grade book, it's quite tame in terms of acting out (e.g., hair dyeing, etc.). 비's relationships with her mother and her friends were sweet and I enjoyed seeing her character growth.
In terms of the language, it was quite easy to follow. The grammar is pretty simple, perhaps because it's a translation, and the vocabulary (aside from a few repeatedly used social media related words) is very common as well.
I think this would be a good first book for people new to reading novels in Korean, as the language and storyline are simple and the cast of characters is limited.
