Strong Start, Poor Finish
This story (two books to be precise) didn't need to be over 700 pages long.
The premise is a doctor has to travel into the dreams of her patients to help them deal with their trauma and save their souls.
Great premise and great start, but the writing is surprisingly dry and repetitive. This repetition builds up as you're fed with more information, which makes both books very bloated.
I pushed to the end because the mystery was intriguing, but the writing was so annoying I mostly skim read the last book, skipping over anything that was repetition.
As Japanese level I'd say it's good for N2 Japanese with a sprinkle of N1.
