This is a nice, peaceful, slice of life manga with cute animals doing cute animal things like playing in the woods and having funny conversations. If you've read or watched Polar Bear Cafe and were disappointed with the animals not really acting like animals, definitely give this a try.
The one tricky thing with this manga is that all of the animal dialogue is handwritten. Aesthetically and thematically I like the fact that animal speech is handwritten because it contrasts with the printed-text narration (which makes documentary-like observations about the setting, seasons, etc.)... but personally I think it's pretty difficult to read. It's also probably not at all OCR-friendly if that's an important part of your reading process.
The handwritten text is the main reason I rated this book at a higher difficulty level than I would have otherwise. Fortunately, there's not a ton of dialogue overall, plus the 4-koma format delivers ideas quickly and cleanly to aid understanding.
