A Fill by Numbers Survival Story, with simple Japanese
A very straightforwardly generic show, with a few twists that don't feel impactful because the characters are archetypes rather than real people you can get investedin. Entertaining enough, but not impactful. I felt everything in it I had seen before. Let me put it this way: from the first episode, I found it obvious what each characters personality was going to be, what their conflict was, and where they would end up. When it gets to the reveals, there are some pacing issues as everything is relegated to the back end.
Still, I can't say I was bored. Besides the final epilogue portion that went far too long. As I said, I am not terribly invested in these characters so I didn't need to see TWO seperate where are they now sections, especially as the actual ending conflict was basically offscreen.
Japanese wise I think this is a pretty good show to pick. It's fairly easy save for a few bits, but even the technical parts aren't that hard to grasp. It's generic and formulaic plot helps you along on the more difficult parts.
But if you want something along these lines but better I reccommend Mugen no Ryvius or Mujin Wakusei survive.
