While I can see where this anime definitely won't be for everyone, for me this was a really special and unique entry. The pacing and mood, the way it tells the story cinematically, the use of space and pauses, the seriousness and realism with which it treats the main characters' relationship, switch between their perspectives, etc, all added up to an incredible experience, and this is definitely one of my favorite anime so far this year. It does have some flaws, namely that the character develop
