鋼の錬金術師 FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST S1
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood S1
Series Blurb
Edward and Alphonse Elric's reckless disregard for alchemy's fundamental laws ripped half of Ed's limbs from his body and left Al's soul clinging to a cold suit of armor. To restore what was lost, the brothers scour a war-torn land for the Philosopher's Stone, a fabled relic which grants the ability to perform alchemy in impossible ways.
The Elrics are not alone in their search; the corrupt State Military is also eager to harness the artifact's power. So too are the strange Homunculi and their shadowy creator. The mythical gem lures exotic alchemists from distant kingdoms, scarring some deeply enough to inspire murder. As the Elrics find their course altered by these enemies and allies, their purpose remains unchanged – and their bond unbreakable.

(4.44/5)Ok, so, first of all, this is one of the best anime ever made, quite literally one of the best stories of all time. There's really nothing else I can say along those lines. I only have two tattoos on body and will probably never get more - one is in memoriam of my mom, RIP, and the other is the FMA Flamel sigil. That's how much this story means to me. Moving on:
As far as language learning, there is a decent amount of specialized fantasy language, most of which is introduced in the first few ep

Not gonna go into how great this show is, everyone already knows it.
wrt the Japanese, it's reasonably modern, some archaic language is used (e.g., by Bradley, Olivia ...), but you can't avoid being exposed to these things so it shouldn't put you off. The biggest hurdle is learning casual language, especially if you're coming from textbooks or whatever. Just make sure to break down sentences as best you can and Google them in segments. I added about 2.5k words to my Anki from this show having c
