A sweet and wholesome BL that will tug at your heartstrings.
한태주 is a young 재벌 who has a 동갑 bodyguard, 강국, and the two are attached at the hip: attending high school together, practising martial arts together, and even sleeping in the same bed. The feelings simmering just below the surface of their young master-bodyguard relationship start to overflow, and jealousy and desire threaten to unbalance their lifelong friendship.
Despite the cheesy set-up, I actually really enjoyed this series, particularly 한기찬’s portrayal of 태주 (his debut work, too, impressive). The tension building between the characters as they start to realise their feelings for each other is very well done; the push and pull alternatingly heart-fluttering and heart-wrenching.
There are no particular hurdles for the language learner, as it’s basically a high school romance, so it's an easy watch (language-wise; your feels, however, will be in for a bit of a workout).
On a side note: I could really relate to the BL-loving 아줌마, except when she asked the boys who was 공 and who was 수. Why would you do that. Why.
