This is a very English-forward show so I wouldn't consider it valuable to learning Japanese at all. However, as someone with an extensive background in Japanese historical studies, can I just gush about how incredibly accurate quite literally every aspect of the set design is in this?? Down to the material that shoes are made out of and the patterns on each piece of fabric and the monsho flags-! There are just a few blatant inaccuracies but, hilariously, behind-the-scenes said that those were on
