I picked this up for some easy listening practice, and I think it delivered. ねえ先生 is an adaption of the manga of the same name; I haven't read the manga, so can't comment on the adaption's faithfulness, but what I did get was a pretty standard love story. This ended up being both good and bad, as while the dialogue was generally predictable, I was in danger of losing interest partway through and looking at my phone. An extremely serviceable series.

A surprisingly easy to understand live action show

The story follows a mangaka and her new relationship with a hairdresser. The actors have very little chemistry with each other and the secondary characters rarely rise to much more than plot devices. As a story I give this a solid 3/5 (I've seen a lot of jdrama, it could have been way worse). As a language learning tool I'd give the show a 4-4.5 as it will allow lower level learners to watch a live action show which tends to be more of a listening challenge than anime at a similar level. There's a bit of publishing/manga vocabulary which might be new if you've yet to encounter much of the manga about manga genre, but nothing that would keep you from understand the main story.
