Maybe DoIJG isn't the most entertaining resource there is for Japanese grammar, but it is, (in my opinion lol) one of the best. You can have a reference to all sorts of grammar patterns from colloquial to formal. When I first read よつばと!, I had just finished with Genki II. If I'm being honest, that's the level I'd recommend starting at. I was able to understand and enjoy it, with only a little help from a dictionary. (If you try earlier, then everything will be just a tiny bit too hard, and it really sucks the fun out of reading a manga that was intended to be a comedy!) It gave me a huge burst of confidence to read something completely in Japanese, and get quite a few laughs too. Overall, よつばと!is not
「日常」を読んでいると、面白いだけでなく、「友だち言葉」をたくさん教えてくれると思います。口語の日本語で「友達言葉」がどのように使われているかを知ることは、とても大事なことですね! 「日常」もずーーーーと面白かったんで、N3以上日本語学習者にはぜひ読んでみてほしいですね。
