Fighting manga, the author goes really into depth on things and in a surreal and often nonsensical way.
I enjoy the old tournament arc too, but this part of Baki is usually referred to as the best part (story, characters, and art). The Prison arc is now on Netflix, so you can follow up with a watch :)
This was hard to rate, for a few reasons. Often there will be a dozen pages with minimal text (action scenes, fighting, etc) that could be followed by pages full of text and explanations of tech
Wordy
Already was a fan of 金田一 from watching the anime. I read this volume and the rest of the case, which is the first 3 parts of the next volume.
Basically, 金田一 is like a longer, more serious version of コナン. It also has furigana (except the latest 30th anniversary series)
This is really wordy. I roughly counted ~200 words on an average page... there aren't many pages that aren't full of text 😅
The vocab/grammar here isn't hard (apart from some small science bits). There's just a lot of it...
