Come for yuri, stay for atmosphere and character development
If you're looking for a fully tied-up story with a good ending, you'll have to go to the manga and spinoff LNs for it. However, this is a great way to get introduced to the characters and their internal conflicts, of which there are many.
Language-learning-wise, while not as dialogue-heavy as other anime, it will nevertheless be great practice for listening. The vocabulary is mostly very easy, and there are many points in the story where a subtle difference in the grammar used completely chang
Challenging but great read
Some entire chapters are written on the border between narrative reality and metaphorical theatrics. It forces you to double-check that you're reading many sentences correctly. I loved every second of it.
Story-wise, it's a very well-executed growing-up story with several twists. Should be enjoyable for a wide variety of people.
