Nico's Weg is a great learning tool. Rather than watch the whole movie from start to finish, try the lessons at learngerman.dw.com. It breaks the story up into 1-2 minute segments and follows up with some language and culture explanations, and some exercises. The German level in the movie starts at A1 and gets progressively more difficult as the movie progresses.
Great read for an A2 adult learner
This was a really charming story for an A2 reader. Too often, books at this level are very boring because of the simplified language. Either that, or they are so full of new words that the vocabulary summaries are almost as long as the chapters. This book really hit the mark.
I had to discipline myself to review each chapter after reading it the first time, because I was eager to move on to find out what happened next in the story.
