Story was fun, had more depth than I anticipated. The protagonist is a child, so that means a lot of the language used isn't all that unusual. The advantage this has over the novel is that it doesn't need to use as much descriptive language due to the visual aspect.
I recommend reading the novel some time after reading the manga, you might end up noticing a few things about the story you might have missed in the manga, as well as mixing descriptive language with conversational, all in a story y
