I enjoyed many of the short stories in this book, particularly the one about the cat and dog searching for their owner. Some of these stories are quite old and use vocabulary that is probably not used often these days. Since this book is written for 3年生, there isn't much kanji. This adds a surprising level of difficulty to parsing some of the longer passages. Especially if they include some of those older and uncommon words.

This is the first of the なぜ?どうして?series of books that I have read. I think this book could be a great entry point for those looking to jump into reading native materials.
The book is broken into several short chapters usually spanning 2-3 pages that cover one particular topic in science. Even as an adult, I found myself learning some new things throughout this book which added to my enjoyment of it.
With respect to the language learning aspect of this book, the grammar was pretty straight-forw

In this book, the Sanrio character Mymelody is a radio show host responding to questions from listeners about various life problems. Topics include friendship, dating, family troubles, work troubles, etc. Since the book is aimed toward a younger audience, the topics are not very deep and Mymelody's answers are usually not very helpful (lol).
From an entertainment perspective, I can't really recommend it unless you're a big fan of Sanrio/Mymelody. As for the language learning aspect, the grammar
