It's a pretty basic magical girl story (a la Sailor Moon), but it is nostalgic to me. I'm guessing it is targeted for fairly young readers (like Elementary 3rd grade and under) because there is a lot of hiragana. Ironically, it made it a little more difficult for me to read, but I got through just fine. If Kanji does appear it will have furigana. The series is getting a reboot anime soon, so there will probably be lots of promotions/sales for the series in the near future. Or you can watch the a

It is a collection of stories, anecdotes, etc from the perspective of a teacher at a Japanese language school. If you have ever attended a Japanese language school, or are interested in why Japanese language is the way it is (why is the standard polite is です・ます and not でありますす、why one kanji has so many different readings, etc) this is the manga for you.
