This was a lot more thoughtful and wholesome than I initially expected from a fantasy novel I picked out on a whim.
I found it very accessable as a learner reading with a popup dictionary. The main characters are introduced straight away and the novel jumps directly into the plot in the first chapter. There's a mystery which propels the reader along and a relatively small set of characters. The POV is largely kept between Seonoh and Heeju.
Although there was some medicial related vocabulary, and one chapter in particular where the characters discussed a scientific study, overall the language and descriptions used were quite straight forward with a lot of quite simple dialogue.
The story itself was super interesting and the author created a collection of very nuanced characters in the space of an average length novel.

It wasn't bad! 3 stars means I liked it. It was interesting to find out the reason behind the weirdness in the FeMC's head. It's told in anecdotes over a somewhat extended period of time, making the narrative feel a bit disconnected for me. It also felt very YA
