The first is about a team who writes TV/Radio schedules, and their day to day office lives. I found this pretty deadly dull.
On the other hand, the second story was much more enjoyable. A bittersweet afternoon of two work colleagues spending their day off together.
Language wise - maybe pretty simple, but I think boredom probably made it more difficult for me.
