Simple vocabulary, although the story gets complicated towards the end which got me pretty confused, so I think this book isn’t quite as easy as people act like it is in comparison to other Japanese novels around this level. Anyway, a girl has to figure out what happiness is to her and has a lot of different experiences that get pretty trippy towards the end that help teach her that and how to live a fulfilling life with others. It has a lot of interesting themes regarding the different paths that life can go and everything, it’s pretty interesting, and it really resonated with me in many ways personally. Fittingly, many pieces of it really did feel like a dream that have stuck around in my mind, so it definitely did that right. If I’m to complain, which I do love doing, the protagonist felt a bit too tropey and I think the book went on a bit too long. But overall, really good book! I can see myself rereading it again maybe someday.
