The setting a high school "puzzle club." Each chapter is basically an independent short story, where someone presents the club with a problem, someone in the club then presents a brain-teaser for the group to think about, the solution to the brain-teaser is explained, and the original issue's solution is somehow analogous to the puzzle. The puzzle is typically accompanied with an illustration.
